Automation is the use of technology to automatically control the production and delivery of products and services.

Automation is important because it helps many different industries by automating tasks and jobs in order to make them more efficient; in turn, automation helps companies make more money.

*I am not an automation expert. If you’re an RIA, check out Sphynx Automation and reach out for Automation Services.

Arielle Minicozzi (founder and CEO of Sphynx Automation) and I worked together for many years; she is incredible at helping RIAs become more efficient.

She is easy to work with, and she has an expert team to assist your firm with your automation needs; however, you will need your processes formally documented before reaching out. Automating without a plan is like building a house without a blueprint. You can certainly do it, but should you?

Anyway, automation tools online:

  1. IFTTT
IFTTT is a website that allows you to automate a variety of tasks. For example, you can use IFTTT to automatically post your Instagram photos to Twitter. IFTTT is free to use and is very user-friendly.
  2. Want a deeper dive? Let me know in the comments. I’ll see what I can learn and post about it.
  3. Zapier
Zapier is another website that allows you to automate tasks. However, Zapier is geared more towards businesses and has more advanced features than IFTTT.
  4. Zapier starts at $20 per month.
Reach out to Sphynx Automation for help with this.
  5. AutomateIt
AutomateIt is a website that allows you to automate a variety of tasks, similar to IFTTT and Zapier.

  8. Tasker is a bit more complex to use than the other websites but it offers a lot of features and flexibility. Tasker starts at $2.99.
